F Am Bb C Fifteen dollars and loose change in his pocket as he boards an early Greyhound bus Departing from a nameless town to a faceless metropolis Bb F Only the clothes on his back Am Dm Only hope on his lips Dm C Bb He wonders what he will find on this moving day He gets a job at a local cafe He meets a girl that catches his eye He puts up a poster for his show She does not notice that he is alive He studies his lines, for the girl and the show Things are looking up on this moving day When the going gets tough the tough get scared lucky ones make their mistakes alone in the dark but rest have theirs in the public bared The director delivers the bad news the show will go on without him he looks around for his wallet and keys dinner's looking mighty grim the girl from the cafe called can we just be friends now he's looking for an alley on this moving day # copyright Joe Johnston
